La Ligne Grise is available as a small, entirely handmade zine. Printed and bound by hand, it brings together all 30 photographs from the series in a physical form made to be held, handled, and leafed through.
This project documents a 3.8 km gas pipeline running through Charleroi, connecting Blast Furnace No. 4 to a former thermal power plant. This imposing remnant of the city’s industrial past has become an integral part of the landscape. The project follows the pipeline through alleys, streets, and residential neighbourhoods, using its path as a thread through the city to explore how heavy industry and everyday life have grown alongside one another.
This series is the first chapter of a larger documentary project on Charleroi, a city shaped by its industrial past and now undergoing rapid transformation.
